Studio Wolter Navarro were appointed to design the interior for the new premises for Core Kensington Reformer Pilates in Kensington, London.
We worked closely with Core Kensington to strategically define and establish their brand identity, focusing on the need for high quality and uniqueness, in line with their brand aspirations and unique clientele. As part of a wholistic design approach besides the architectural interior design we were also invited to redesign the logo and stationery and continue to assist Core Kensington with all aesthetic related matters.
Our services included concept and interior design, planning applications for change of use and signage, detailed design inclusive of bespoke joinery and FF&E specification, construction administration and liaison with all specialist trades and subcontractors.
The owners of this early Victorian Grade II Listed house approached us for the extensive refurbishment and extension necessary to bring the property in line with the requirements of their family life.
We studied each and every of the existing features of the house, identifying those that were original and worthy of preserving and establishing the areas that needed improving.
A restorative and more traditional approach to the above ground levels of the house is put into balance with the contemporary treatment of the lower ground floor, where the existing slab is removed and the levels excavated to increase the floor to ceiling height. A new extension with very unique slimline solid timber windows and doors is introduced at this level to allow for the combination of cooking, living and dining spaces.
We easily secured Planning Permission and Listed Building Consents.

Masterplan for a plot in the German city of Magdeburg. Our proposal includes high quality public spaces and mixed use (residential + co-working + office) buildings. Designed with an aim to connect two disjointed areas of the town, the proposal reinstates a modern interpretation of the once existing city wall generating a space for commerce within it. Accessibility for all and sustainability are at the core of the design.
Studio Wolter Navarro were involved in the Concept Design, Planning and signage proposals for the lovely and Instagram worthy Notting Hill Gate Sugaring studio in London.
Given the usual challenges of a small commercial unit and a tight budget, it was key to come up with a highly functional and straight forward layout whilst maximising the amount of natural light inside the space and making sure that the overall looks would tie in with the strong and beautiful Sugaring branding.
